Bitterroot CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are dedicated to providing hope and security to children who have been removed from their homes as a result of abuse and neglect. This often represents the most challenging period in a child’s life. CASA volunteers form meaningful, trusting relationships with each child, serving as their advocates both in the courtroom and within the broader community. Their commitment ensures that every child’s unique needs remain a priority, helping children discover who they are, and develop the skills necessary to shape their own futures.

Help our volunteers give our children every opportunity to thrive:

Transport children to visit siblings placed in other counties– which is essential to a child’s well-being.

Arrange and manage visits with parents and family members, critical for helping children maintain those relationships.

Purchase clothing that fits as children grow and the seasons change.

Register and outfit children for extracurricular activities– sports, ski trips, and science fairs- an important part of normalizing their lives and fostering personal growth.

Provide social opportunities like movie tickets or concert passes, a dress for the prom.

Transport children to medical or therapeutic appointments.
