Hope Rising...Bitterroot CASA has so much to give!

Updated: Dec 14, 2023

Rising hope is about the choices people make and the relationships they form. No matter who you are, what matters most will be your investment in the lives of children, family and friends who live their lives differently because of you.

Bitterroot Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) has been serving Ravalli County for 22 years. We are here to offer hope and security to children that have been removed from their homes due to abuse and  neglect, the most challenging time in a child’s life. CASA volunteers get to know each child and are by their side, advocating for their best interest in the courtroom and the community. They make sure each child’s individual needs remain a priority, as they develop trustworthy, purposeful relationships. They help children discover who they are, learn how to engage with the world around them, and cultivate the abilities they need to shape their futures. CASA volunteers strive to ensure the child is safe, has the shortest possible road to a permanent home, and have an opportunity to thrive.

We are guided by the importance of family of origin, promote kinship care, and understand the trauma from separation; that is why we focus on family strengths and family strengthening. Still many children face years of uncertainly as they wait to go home, be adopted, or simply see what happens next. During this time  a child might have several social workers, teachers, and caregivers- but they have only one CASA volunteer.

Bitterroot CASA is increasing our direct services to parents and family members through family advocacy that creates opportunities for children, parents and family members to fully develop their potential. We seek funding to support children’s access to youth programs both in and outside of school by providing financial  support so they are fully able participate in sports, music, and the arts, developing healthy social and emotional skills that will carry them through their lifetime.

Bitterroot CASA is a qualified charity and is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. Please donate and  consider us when donating your IRA distributions this year. Bitterroot CASA appreciates your support of our life changing work with our most vulnerable families. Your generous donation or pledge is helping to train and support volunteer advocates who protect the best interest of children who have been abused or neglected. Support       families on their road to recovery and help children meaningfully engage in their school and community. You are helping to build a community of caring people who work tirelessly to ensure every child’s needs are met and every child who needs a best interest advocate can have one.

Bitterroot CASA 217 N. 3rd St. H-1 Hamilton, MT 59840- Thank you!
